Implementation of AVAC
The Australian Government is pleased to announce the opening of an Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Yangon, Myanmar.
From 18 May 2015, all applications for visas to Australia (except for Refugee and Humanitarian Entry) or applications for citizenship by descent should be lodged at the AVAC.

A fee will be charged for this service in addition to the scheduled fee charged by the Australian Government for all visa applications.
Visa applications and citizenship by descent applications will continue to be assessed and decided by the Australian Embassy in Yangon (or in some cases, Bangkok). Staff at the AVAC have no involvement in the decision making process, or knowledge of the application outcome.
The AVAC is the location at which applications are submitted and collected after a decision is made by the Australian Embassy.
