Temporary Residents
Temporary resident is for temporary entrants to Australia to participate in specific professional, cultural or social activities or to do temporary work in Australia.
Types of temporary residents
Subclass | Visa description | Purpose |
401 | Temporary Work (Long Stay Activity) Visa | Sporting, religious work, exchange activities or Domestic Worker (Executive) |
402 | Training and Research | Participate in occupational training, observe or participate in research as a visiting academic, or participate in a professional development program. |
403 | Temporary Work (International Relations) Visa | Employees or representatives of a foreign government agency who do not have official status in Australia |
461 | New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship (Temporary) | Allows non-New Zealand citizens to travel to and live in Australia with a New Zealand citizen family member who holds a Special Category visa |
